Come Out With Pride is pleased to present this proposal to host WorldPride in Orlando — our bid spells out why we are uniquely suited to hold this event in October 2026.
Selecting Orlando to host WorldPride offers an opportunity to attract large numbers of North American as well as international LGBTQIA+ attendees from every part of the world, especially Central and South America.
Central Florida is diverse, multicultural and has a long history of inclusiveness. Our LGBTQIA+ community is large and active with over 40 dedicated service and advocacy organizations.
We are the top-visited USA tourism destination with over 75 million total visitors every year and over 3 million identifying as LGBTQIA+. The reason? There’s an enormous number of things to do here with great shopping, golf, sporting venues, entertainment, dining options galore, an active nightlife, and of course our amazing theme parks and attractions.
October is the perfect time of year to visit Orlando. The weather is comfortably warm with cooler evenings and few rainstorms to disrupt events. Since October is less busy than summer, all WorldPride events at popular locations are both less crowded and more affordable.
Hosting WorldPride in October also gives us the opportunity to maximize attendance since the timing does not compete with other major June Pride events.
Most importantly, the timing allows us to honor the 10-year remembrance of the Pulse Nightclub tragedy while celebrating the strides made toward belonging, acceptance, and inclusion.
We are excited to share our detailed plan for WorldPride Orlando 2026. It shows how Orlando has the resources, support infrastructure, service orientation and a dedicated team skilled in handling a very complex international event. We guarantee a one-of-a-kind celebration!
