Come Out With Pride has a Board of Directors composed of 13 individuals with diverse backgrounds and skill sets. They are tasked with strategic planning, overseeing the annual budget, and setting the general direction for each year’s programming. Prospective Board members can be self-nominated or nominated by an existing Board member and are then evaluated by the Governance Committee which makes recommendations based on qualifications and interview responses.
In 2021 Come Out With Pride hired its first Executive Director. This major milestone symbolized the organization’s progress, growth, sustainability, and vision for the future. Recognizing the increased need for leaders of color from marginalized communities, Come Out With Pride’s Board of Directors appointed Tatiana Quiroga, who has not only over 20 years of nonprofit and community building experience, but is one of the only leaders in Central Florida who identifies as female, QLatinx, and as an immigrant from Latin America. Her mission and vision is to increase the organization’s year-round programming while cultivating authentic relationships with diverse community partners.
The Come Out With Pride Production Team is responsible for actively planning and executing our parade and festival in October and has an average of 20-40 talented volunteers throughout the course of the year. There are numerous opportunities for leadership advancement — most of our standing committees have a director overseeing several subcommittees, each with its own managers and chairs.
